Customer Problem
The customer uses the printer in a school library and each and every day it is turned off and on at specific intervals. Various librarians use it throughout the day; one morning the head librarian came in and saw that the printer was still on because the button was stuck.
Diagnosis
The button most likely from constant strain, also the age of the printer itself could cause the it to become brittle and push out of place or even break.
Work Done
First I have to remove the right side cover.
Next remove the Formatter Cover.
Now the Front Right Cover, you remove these two screws.
Open the Cartridge Cover and angle the cover away from the printer.
The power button should be visible now.
Locate the following switch attachment on the button and remember its position because when you have to put the button back in you have to properly align the attachment to ensure power works. This attachment moves a shaft that activates the on and off, on the power supply.
Raise the black socket upwards and lean the button to the right carefully.
Once you have it in the below position ensure the shaft attachment mentioned before is off the shaft then remove.
In my case one of the button’s pins was broken and I tried using gorilla glue, but the force the pins are put under when attempting to fit it back into the groove, it broke again.
Luckily in my situation the customer had a spare printer for parts and I was able to take that one out and replace it in this one. Ensure that the power switch shaft attachment slides into place first. Then pinch the areas circled to get the bottom pin in place then raise the top socket indicated by the arrow and carefully slot in the top pin.
Results
Unfortunately I dont have any pictures but I was able to cut this from a video I made.

The switch button was broken on the lower pin. The repair: I made it with 2-component epoxy-glue, so that the glue supporting and fixing the pin basement too. Thanks again!
